Through use of NineCosmos' end to end air quality assurance services, Suqian City's 'excellent' rate increased from 75% to 82%, and its ranking in Jiangsu Province jumped to top 8 status from its original second-to-last rank.

Project achievements:

The air quality and big data intelligent models utilize supercomputing resources to focus on main pollutants such as particulate matter and ozone, forecasting trends for the next 3 to 7 days and forming short hourly forecasts for the next 48 hours. Daily air quality and weather forecasts are also given, providing effective information for future air quality management in Zhengdong New District.

Project Name: Analysis on the impact of epidemic prevention and control measures in Xinwu District

Project achievements:

In order to explore the extent to which air pollution is affected by human activities, NineCosmos carried out a thematic analysis of the effects of Covid prevention and control policies in Xinwu District. Year-on-year emission reductions at the main checkpoints in Xinwu District decreased over 80% over the course of the Covid prevention policies, while the PM2.5 concentration dropped by 18 to 26%. However, large enterprises in Xinwu District continued production during this time, and both SO2 and CO concentrations increased year-on-year, i.e., contributions from industrial emissions and combustion sources were elevated. Side panel show that motor vehicle reductions can reduce PM2.5 by over 30%.
